Russell Bartels, M.D.

Dr. Russell Bartels, M.D. is board certified physician who specializes in bio-identical hormone replacement for men and women. His primary focus is to provide the most up to date medical care and procedures for his patients in a warm, caring, and friendly atmosphere. He has been caring for patients in the Scottsdale and Phoenix area since 2002, initially with a focus on ob/gyn care. Men were introduced into his practice through the women he was treating with bio-identical hormones. They were experiencing the many benefits of bio-identical hormones and wanted the men in their life to feel the same way. Men now comprise approximately 40% of his bio-identical hormone practice. Dr. Bartels understands that medicine is always changing, which explains why he is a strong advocate for natural bio-identical hormone supplementation. After thoroughly researching the benefits and superior safety profile, he strongly believes that bio-identical hormones are a better option for men and women in need of hormonal balance.

Background and Experience

Dr. Bartels received his training at Providence Hospital in Michigan where he was Chief Resident, and received several awards in recognition of his leadership and surgical skills. When it comes to bio-identical hormones, there are not many other physicians more qualified to provide testing and treatment. There is a reason that many of Dr. Bartels’ patients travel from out of state, and even out of the country, to receive their bio-identical hormone therapy from him. Many physicians are not willing to go the extra mile and learn about alternatives to the traditional pharmaceutical therapies they were taught during their training, perhaps years ago. Dr. Bartels understands that the art of medicine is not static, and a physician needs to explore new treatment options continuously.
